Brian Smith leads Rose & Company’s business development efforts in Canadian and Australian markets. In his role as a senior client relationship manager, Mr. Smith leverages over three decades of experience to advise clients on the development and implementation of strategic investor outreach programs to attract and engage high-quality, long-term investors.  

Mr. Smith joined Rose & Company in 2019 from Barclays, where he was a Director in the firm’s Institutional Equity sales team and had primary responsibility for the firm’s Canadian institutional sales desk in New York City. Mr. Smith served as the primary liaison between Barclay’s Corporate Access team and Canadian issuers. He joined Barclays in 2012 after having worked at RBC Capital Markets for the prior 20-year period. At RBC Capital Markets, he was a Managing Director in charge of the firm’s New York based Canadian sales desk and a member of the Operating Committee. Throughout his career, Mr. Smith has working closely with public companies to execute targeted investor marketing programs to reach a broad group of prominent Institutional Investors throughout North America.
